FASHION IN 2023
INTRO;
If you follow fashion rules like why you shouldn't be worn after Labor Day or metal shouldn't be mixed then you're following outdated rules so we're going to go over some outdated fashion rules that we should completely ignore in 2023.
1.WHITE COMBO;
We're going to start with the rule that white clothes are only for the summer time. White can look wonderful all year round.White clothes have always been worn in summer because the color reflects the sunlight and makes them comfortable to wear in the heat but white looks wonderful in the Autumn and the winter too it can be as simple as adding a white roll neck to black jeans which are a winter wardrobe staple for many to a white roll neck. You could wear a white cardigan for a really cozy winter outfit or you could try it with a white coat white jeans shouldn't be saved just for the summer time you can get somewhere from them all season long by wearing them with some gray which is a gorgeous combination or you could try an all-white winter combination a look which is so Chic.2.MIXING PRINTS;
Now Once Upon a Time, mixing prints was considered a big fashion faux pas but it's not anymore mixing print relies on balance if one is Big wear it with something smaller.If one is extra loud wear it with something subtle to tone it down. Another way to try this is to choose two prints which have a color in common like stripes and a leopard print if you're hesitant to start mixing prints and I was until recently then this is one of my favorites it's a great one to start with you can experiment with this with different color trousers it works with any colored jeans including White and the striped top can be a black top with a white stripe or vice versa and you can also experiment with different jackets the stripe and animal print work really well together so it's great for those who want to try this bit a little bit cautiously traditionally.3.RED LIPSTICK;
Red lipstick was saved for the evening and worn for evening events like cocktail parties and one with black dresses but red lipstick is no longer just for after dark. The Fabulous makeup artist Lisa Eldridge believes that red lips can look great on everyone. If you find the right texture and shade which actually can be the hardest part as there's just so many different shades and my biggest fear is that I don't want to end up looking like the Joker but once you've found the one try wearing it with an all-black outfit to add a burst of color or wear it with a neutral outfit and match it to your bag on those really Ultra casual sweatshirt and denim jacket days a red lip can make you feel more put together without feeling overdressed.4.SEQUIN FASHION;
Now on to the next one which is that sequins are just for the evening. But that's outdated in 2023. Now sequins can be worn day or night and more casually too the way to wear them more casually is to really dress them down take a sequin Blazer that can be worn during the day just by dressing it down maybe with the hooded top and some casual trousers like some cargo trousers or some jeans.
You could pair that with a white shirt or perhaps a roll neck sweater this could be a lovely daytime look or a sequin top could easily be paired with some wide leg trousers and flats for a very relaxed and Casual look so don't pack away your sequins just yet you may be able to get somewhere from them into 2023. 6.STRIPES FASHION;
Now on to the next outdated Rule and this is one you've probably heard many times before and that is that horizontal stripes make you look bigger well this was actually proven to be untrue the theory was actually based on the helmholtz illusion. Now I might have said that wrong but it wasn't actually tested on a human body until 2009 when it was then tested on three-dimensional female models that's the basics of it. So if you've been avoiding wearing horizontal stripes then you can start wearing them again now I'm sure you've heard the sayings blue and green should never be seen or brown and blue will never do these are all sayings that have been around for years and years and there's always been this kind of Unwritten rule that certain colors shouldn't be worn and mixed together but this is a little bit outdated in 2023.
7.NAVY COMBO;
A color combination that was considered a big No-No was Navy and black and I have to be honest until recently I really didn't like it but it works I've fully embraced Navy in Black by wearing it either with a navy shirt and black bottoms or a Navy Blazer and black or even navy coat with black. Navy is one of those colors that goes well with so many different other colors, so if you don't like Navy and black you could try Navy in red Navy and yellow Navy and orange looks fantastic together there's so many wonderful ways that Navy can be paired with other colors.
